Junior Backend Developer
RIVAPACK is an international wholesaler of consumer-oriented corrugated and solid board packaging solutions in Europe. Our extended product range includes over 240’000 articles and accessories from the electronics, electrical engineering, household, hygiene, pet supplies and furniture sectors. We also offer logistics and service solutions for manufacturers, retail groups and resellers.
Job Responsibilities
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code.
• Develop and maintain server-side logic, APIs, microservices, and databases.
• Ensure the security, performance, and responsiveness of applications and front-end requests.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
• Maintain and improve the backend infrastructure.
Job Requirements
• Have strong knowledge of back-end languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, Kotlin, or MongoDB. • Have experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Clickhouse.
• Familiar with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Understand RESTful APIs and web services, and you’re comfortable using API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI or Postman.
• Have experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Apply testing practices (e.g., Mockito, Integration Testing, Jest, TDD) in your development process.
• Bring strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Have worked on scalable and high-performance systems.
• Familiar with authentication and authorization protocols such as JWT or OAuth.
• Understand data modeling and performance optimization.
• Fluent in written and spoken in English, German is an advantage.
